To have or have not
Is all the choice I’ve got
All the red tape that has to be gone through
With papers filled out, t’s crossed and I’s dotted too
The only real approach to push, to run the extra mile
Volunteering to watch tone and demeanor, while doing it with a smile
Giving everyone that is seen the benefit of the doubt
Making them the priority, over the need to shout
While knowing that the difference can be only made inside
To be able to move with the ebb and flow and the long infuriating ride
Embracing the possibility that all of this way is “how”
And making the decision to participate fully, starting now
